Nicola is a dedicated Social & Behaviour Support Practitioner with nearly 14 years of experience in the disability sector. Her journey began as a compassionate support worker and evolved into a registered Social Worker with the SWRB specializing in Disability Social Work. Transitioning into a Behaviour Specialist role in 2022, Nicola’s expertise spans a broad spectrum of settings and challenges within the field.

Throughout her career, Nicola has worked extensively with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, including those with mental health concerns and developmental disabilities. Her approach is deeply informed by a trauma-informed lens, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs are met with sensitivity and understanding.

Nicola’s passion for her work is evident in her commitment to ongoing learning and specialization. She has honed her skills in areas such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Developmental Trauma, Autism communication & Behaviour, Positive Behaviour Support, Crisis Intervention Prevention Training, and much more. Her extensive toolkit equips her to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and triggers effectively, empowering parents and carers to navigate challenging Behaviours with confidence.
