What to expect

Please see your GP for a referral before you book your first appointment.

Initial appointments are generally between 50 and 90 minutes duration to allow your therapist to gather detailed assessment information.

After the assessment, a plan for therapy is drafted in conjunction with you, pinpointing goals for treatment and outlining the treatment program.

When you meet, your consultant will carefully explain the program and will answer any questions you may have.

Periodically during therapy, reviews of progress will be made by your consultant to make adjustments where necessary.

In general, therapy involves approximately 6 to 10 one-hour weekly sessions. The length of treatment and individual sessions will vary according to the nature of your problem and the type of specialised exercises that may be assigned.

You can expect the support of an empathetic, caring and highly experienced clinician who will identify, treat and provide strategies and skills that will enhance your well-being and success.
