Katrina comes to Educare with a background in rural and remote health and paediatric private practice. She loves working closely with families to develop functional and client centered communication goals.

Katrina has a special interest in assisting children with speech and language disorders, behavior difficulties, and children with social communication difficulties. She is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent children and teenagers.

Katrina is a Hanen Certified in the ‘It Takes Two to Talk’ and ‘More Than Words’ programs and can provide specialist parent/carer training to families of young children with language delays, or language disorders associated with Autism. She has also completed post graduate training in positive behaviour support, Paediatric Feeding, PROMPT, Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems (PODD, LAMP Word For Life) and various literacy workshops via the Macquarie University Reading Clinic.

Katrina is very passionate about helping children to live happier, socially fulfilling lives and has a strong affiliation with the Bridges in Social Understanding program. She is often involved in running Educare’s social skills groups.
