Emma is originally from Brisbane, Australia and has recently relocated to Newcastle for its beautiful beaches and lifestyle.

Emma has been working as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for a number of years. During this time she has worked with children with a range of difficulties, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, attention and concentration, social skills, whole body coordination and self-care. She works collaboratively with children, their parents and their teachers to provide clients with the support they need to live their everyday lives.

Emma is particularly passionate about supporting children in recognising and controlling their emotions and arousal level which may be impacting on things such as making friends, coping with problems, remaining focussed in the classroom, reducing emotional meltdowns, and being aware of the emotions and feelings of others around them.

Emma has a bright, bubbly personality and loves to make children feel safe and comfortable to be themselves during therapy. She loves blending play with function, hiding functional skills within fun tasks; kids don’t even realise they are learning! Therapy can be fun and exciting, and still work towards your goals.
