David completed his Bachelor of Psychology degree at the University of Newcastle. Following on from his degree, David has gained knowledge and experience working with complex young people and adults.
David works with a range of mental disorders including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning problems, complex relationship issues along with character and self esteem building.
David is trained in several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Interpersonal Therapy along with others. This allows David to use a holistic therapeutic approach when seeing clients and supporting families.
David has an interest in working with later stage adolescents and the adult population. David’s approach focuses on bringing a relaxed and relatable approach to therapy.
David main interests are surfing and is also a trained yoga teacher that enjoys incorporating mindfulness and movement meditation into his therapy frameworks.
