David completed his Bachelor of Psychology degree at the University of Newcastle. Following on from his degree, David has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working with complex children and adults who present with a range of mental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning problems, emotional dysregulation, anxiety disorders and depression.
David is trained in several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Interpersonal Therapy along with others. This allows David to use a holistic therapeutic approach when seeing clients and supporting families.
David has experience working closely with children, adolescents and their families to ensure the best outcome from psychological support is achieved. This includes implementing behaviour support strategies to manage challenging behaviours within schools, education services and the home.
David has an interest in working with the adolescent and young adult population. David enjoys working from a collaborative and holistic approach to assist his clients to fulfil their goals in line with their core values and beliefs.
