Claire comes to EDUCARE as a passionate Speech Pathologist with particular interests in literacy, ASD and working with clients and families from disadvantaged backgrounds. With a strong focus on providing clients with a supportive family-centred approach, Claire enjoys working collaboratively with families, educators and other supports to create and achieve meaningful goals.

Claire has over 8 years experience working in the educational setting and has developed a passion for working in this area. She has experience supporting students with expressive and receptive language delays, speech sound disorders, social communication disorders, behavioural challenges and delays in literacy development. Claire has worked closely with learning support teams and teachers within schools to ensure students are given the best opportunities possible to improve their engagement and participation in the classroom as well as their everyday lives.

Claire also has experience providing support to pre-schoolers to improve their early speech, language and social communication skills. She has also worked within high-schools to support social communication and higher level language and literacy development with teen-aged clients.

Outside of speech pathology, Claire loves getting outdoors – going camping, mountain-biking and hiking.  She also loves making pizzas and spending time with her (huge) extended family and friends.
