Tristen completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) degree at the University of Newcastle. She has a long standing interest in working with children and teens, to assist them in identifying goals that are in line with their values and beliefs to enable them to live meaningful and rich lives.
Tristen has trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy along with others. Tristen adopts an evidence-based approach to assist in developing a collaborative and supportive environment aimed at promoting a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients.
Tristen has also worked with clients under Workers Compensation (SIRA), CTP and the Life Insurance Scheme. Tristen has volunteered at Lifeline as a Telephone Crisis Support Worker and Kookaburra Kids as a Team Leader.
