Dr Patricia Caruana has been working as a doctor for 23 years. She graduated and trained in Germany and Switzerland and moved thereafter to work in the United Kingdom and then to Australia. Dr Patricia Caruana has worked in Australia for the last 18 years.

Dr Patricia Caruana is a fully trained Neurologist whom has graduated from the Australian & New Zealand College of Physicians in this field.

Dr Patricia Caruana has been a Neuroimmunology Fellow in the MS Clinic in Newcastle at the John Hunter Hospital, in conjunction with the Human Medical Research Institute of Newcastle from 2012-2016. She has published in the field of Neuroimmunology, General Neurology and Immunology. Especially for the last year, Dr Patricia Caruana has also extensively worked in the area of hyperacute and acute stroke and has partaken in stroke research.

Dr Caruana offers care in the fields of general Neurology, including investigation and management of headaches, epilepsy, stroke, dementia and memory disorders, muscle disorders, sensory disturbances, multiple sclerosis and related disorders, adult autism and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s and related diseases. She is able to also provide pregnancy counselling for patients with neurological disorders.

Dr Caruana is trained in Botox application for chronic migraine and other neurological disease.

Dr Caruana is also trained in Botox application for excessive underarm sweating (Hyperhydrosis).
