Jade has experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, mood disorders, and learning and behavioural difficulties.
Jade graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours Class I) in 2015 and commenced a PhD in Clinical Psychology the following year. Her research examines the long-term impact childhood trauma has on memory and behaviour. The knowledge gained from this research, coupled with Jade’s practical experience, has created a passion for early intervention.
Jade has extensive experience in evidence-based therapies, including applied behaviour analysis (ABA) therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and has experience in conducting learning and cognitive assessments.
She has also completed training in trauma-informed care, and practices from the view that all behaviour is a form of communication. Jade is passionate about empowering young people, families and schools to understand and develop skills to manage behaviour effectively so that children can flourish.
