Hayley began studying as a mature aged student and graduated with Honours in Occupational Therapy from the University of Newcastle in 2016. In her academic and professional life, Hayley has been motivated about empowering people to live their best lives and has used her Occupational Therapy skills and experience to achieve that end.
Hayley has previously worked in occupational health for almost 4 years within the NDIS sector with a mixed caseload including mental health, intellectual disability, home modifications and paediatrics. These experiences are the driving force behind Hayley’s interest in working in the area of paediatric occupational therapy.
Hayley has an outgoing and empathetic personality that enables her to easily build rapport with those of all ages and backgrounds. She also understands the importance of family and is a devoted mother to two teenage boys.
Hayley’s experience also extends to in-patient and out-patient adult services where she covered falls prevention, stroke, and neurodegenerative rehabilitation.
As part of the EDUCARE Specialist Services team, Hayley is eager to continue to build her knowledge and experience as an Occupational Therapist while working collaboratively with children and their families.
