Dr Rachel Briggs brings additional specialist expertise to EDUCARE as a Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist.
Rachel has worked in community health, acute-care, private health-care and academic settings. Her specialist area of expertise is working with children and their families across a range of presentations including anxiety, low mood, emotion dysregulation, anger management, trauma and issues of attachment as well learning and behavioural difficulties.
Rachel completed her training at the University of Sydney with a research focus in paediatric neuropsychological rehabilitation; specifically in the area of childhood traumatic brain injury. Rachel has presented her research findings at national and international conferences and published in peer reviewed journals. Her strong research background informs her clinical practice, which is evidence-based while being tailored to individual clients.
Rachel believes that the therapeutic relationship is critical to fostering an environment of trust, mutual respect and honesty.
