Linda has particular interest in working with young people with developmental disorders and their families. She undertook her PhD and post-doctoral work in the area of, often relatively unknown, chromosomal disorders associated with intellectual disabilities such as 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and Williams syndrome as well as autism spectrum disorders. Since then she has done a lot of work on the impact that having a child with a disability can have on families.
Linda is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy which enables a flexible therapeutic approach.
She has significant experience in assessments and is also experienced in a wide variety of psychological areas including learning disorders, anxiety disorders, attention problems, obsessive-compulsive disorder behavioural emotion dysregulation, and anger management.
Linda is committed to providing an individualised assessment and treatment plan that is both based on current research and is the best fit for the client. Linda is fully registered with the Psychology Board Australia and Medicare as an endorsed Clinical Psychologist.
