Amanda specialises in educational and psychological assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and young adults. She has expertise in the diagnosis of intellectual disabilities, learning disorders, ADHD, behaviour disorders, and a range of mental health presentations including anxiety and depression.
Amanda is also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and works with young people and adults who have experienced trauma.
Amanda can provide psychological assessments, diagnostic reports and interventions using a collaborative approach in a warm and supportive environment. She uses a variety
of models of therapy and interventions when working with children and families, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Eye-Movement Desensitisation and
Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and parenting strategies.
Amanda can support young people who are experiencing low self-esteem, school avoidance, stress, relationship and peer difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and mental
health challenges. She is committed to connecting with her clients in a safe and non-judgmental space to work together on achieving the goals of therapy.
Amanda has worked as a school counsellor for 7 years and is currently completing the Masters of Clinical Psychology program. She lives in the local area and is married
with twin boys and a daughter. Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
