Speech pathologists work with children, adolescents and adults who have difficulty communicating through speech and language or those who have trouble eating and drinking safely.
They can support the development of literacy skills, communication, understanding and use of language. They use specialised assessment tools, such as the Hanen, Total Communication, MULTILIT and THRASS methods, to assist them in diagnose the source problem and develop a treatment plan.
As part of the EDUCARE team, our Speech Pathologists assist with early detection and intervention. Their clients can include adults who have undergone a stroke and require help to relearn words, a child with developmental delays from birth, someone who has lost their hearing or an adolescent who has trouble expressing themselves.
Our experienced staff are all qualified with an accredited undergraduate or masters degree and are members of the peak body representing Speech Pathologists.
