Dr Patricia Caruana has been working as a doctor for 23 years. She graduated and trained in Germany and Switzerland and moved thereafter to work in the United Kingdom and then to Australia. Dr Patricia Caruana has worked in Australia for the last 18 years.
Dr Patricia Caruana is a fully trained Neurologist that has graduated from the Australian & New Zealand College of Physicians in this field.
Dr Patricia Caruana has been a Neuroimmunology Fellow in the MS Clinic in Newcastle in John Hunter Hospital in conjunction with the Human Medical Research Institute of Newcastle from 2012-2016. She has published in the field of Neuroimmunology, General Neurology and Immunology. Especially for the last year, Dr Patricia Caruana has also extensively worked in the area of hyperacute and acute stroke and has partaken in stroke research.
Dr Caruana’s main field is General Neurology, which includes investigation and management of headaches, epilepsy, dementia and memory disorders, epilepsy, muscle disorders, sensory disturbance, adult autism and movement disorders such as Parkinsons and related diseases. She is able to provide pregnancy counselling for patients with neurological disorders.
Dr Caruana is trained in Botox application for chronic migraine and other neurological disease.
